About 1074's removal: Oh well, although I would have preferred a improved implementation, it isn't too bad anyways...

There's no possible way you could improve 1074. It was shit to begin with.

It's removal is a blessing.

I do agree with you that it's current implementation was pretty horrible.
1162 replaces it quite well in my opinion.

juanjpro did have a rewrite of 1074 lined up for BoH but he lost motivation for working on SCP:CB and as a result BoH died as a whole, along with the improved 1074.
This should give a little insight on why it was removed from vanilla.
